We continuously work to keep the necessary parts available in order to optimize production and assembly.

Take the time to discover the instrument in your own environment with our 30-day return policy. This approach allows you to experience the feel, balance, resonance, and response of the instrument without pressure or compromise. For more information, please refer to our FAQ or home trial section.

Each instrument is assembled, adjusted, and carefully inspected in our workshop before shipping. Action, intonation, neck adjustment, electronics, hardware, and finishing details are individually checked on every model. Every instrument leaves the workshop in optimal playing condition and ready for immediate use.

Built for balance and control.

With its original 3+1 headstock design, the bass neck is built for stability, precision, and long-term reliability. Made from carefully selected maple with a pau ferro fretboard, it maintains a consistent structure under tension, supporting accurate intonation across the full scale. The 34″ scale length follows a widely used standard, with clear note definition and controlled low-end response. A 38 mm nut width keeps string spacing comfortable for both fingerstyle and more precise techniques. Each neck undergoes tension-based leveling, allowing a low setup if required while keeping consistency along the fretboard. The Tru-Oil finish gives a smooth, natural touch.

Two single-coils, many voices.

The Alpha Bass Player features two Steelyjam single-coil pickups, offering a versatile combination of clarity, definition and dynamic response. The bridge pickup delivers a precise and articulate character, while the neck pickup brings more warmth and depth. Used together, they provide a balanced sound that adapts easily to different playing styles. A simple passive volume and tone configuration keeps the controls intuitive and the signal path direct, allowing the natural character of the instrument to come through. Each wiring is based on our original and universal PCB, enabling clean assembly and quick component changes without soldering.

The beauty of raw material.

The hand-brushed finish reveals aluminium in its most authentic and raw expression. Pre-brushed with a random pattern, each instrument features a unique surface that evolves over time, naturally capturing the marks of the player. Rather than remaining fixed, the finish develops its own character through use, creating a subtle and organic patina. Over time, the instrument becomes truly yours, shaped by your playing and your touch. If needed, the surface can easily be refreshed or reworked using regular 180-grit sandpaper with water, allowing you to redefine the brushing lines.

The advantages of an aluminium body.

The one-piece aluminium body defines the foundation of Steelyjam instruments. It combines precision manufacturing with long-term reliability, using advanced CNC machining and laser cutting to create a rigid, stable welded structure. Aluminium delivers a clear and balanced tonal response, with direct vibration transfer across the entire body. Its conductive properties also help reduce electromagnetic interference, resulting in a clean and noiseless signal. Like wood, it can be endlessly customised using techniques such as anodising, painting, surface treatment, or laser engraving. Resistant to temperature and humidity variations, it maintains its structural integrity over time.
